How can I get my boyfriend to txt me more?

Ok, so I have been friends with my boyfriend for awhile, not great friends, but friends. We didn't txt much but we hung out in the same group and we just recently made it official bf/gf. Well he still like never txts! I have to start the convo and even then it isn't really more than like 15 txts tops and we only ever had a long txt convo once. I also kinda like when a guy sexts (not with pics, with words) but he doesnt do that. I'm friends with his ex and she broke up with him cause he was "too nice for her" I like him and how nice he is but I want there to b a lil fun romance in te relationship! How do I get him to txt me more and maybe even sext a little? I don't want to hear you saying I shouldnt sext or anything cause I would never send pics. Thanks. :)
