Why i am not able to update my Galaxy S to Ginger Bread?

Just got my galaxy-s GT-I9003 bundled with Android 2.2 FROYO. Since the official ginger bread version is out from samsung i want to upgrade the phone but kies software is showing that i have the latest version installed on my phone which is 2.2 froyo. Please help me how can i update the latest version. I am newbie to android and this is my first android phone. Thanks in advance.
